SpectorSoft SpectorSoft Spector 360 - Requirements
Centralized employee monitoring across the network
Below are the system requirements for the various software components of Spector 360.
Recorder (for computers being recorded)
- Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, Windows Server 2003, Windows ME or Windows 98
- Network Access (Networked on a Windows Domain, Workgroup, or Novell Network)
- Administrator share level access (C$) to computer for remote installation
- Task Scheduler Service enabled for remote installation
- Registry Services enabled for remote management
- 50 MB free hard disk space
Control Center (MMC Snap-In)
- Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows Server 2003
- Administrator Privileges to each network computer being recorded
- Network access to computers being recorded
- 1 MB free hard disk space to install
Data Vault/SQL Database Server
- Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows Server 2003
- Network access to computers being recorded
- Approximately 7 GB free hard disk space for a typical SQL database, with allowance for 50 MB (400 MB with snapshots and email attachments) for each user per month
- Approximately 30 MB free hard disk space to install MSDE 2000 and 2-3 MB hard disk space to install the Spector 360 Databases
Primary Server & Web Filter Server
- Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows Server 2003
- Network access to computers being recorded
- Typically resides on the same computer as the Data Vault / SQL Database Server
Dashboard
- Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows Server 2003
- Network access to the Data Vault SQL Database Server
- Windows login or login privileges to the Database
(If the .NET Framework was omitted from the initial configuration, disk storage requirement will be an additional 200 MB.)
NOTE: The x64 editions of Windows Vista, Windows XP Professional
and Windows Server 2003 are NOT currently supported.
